Mersey Power at first thought to be taken in 1950s about time of start of Manweb.

Updated information from the photographer 'The photos were not taken in the 1950s, they were taken around 1970, shortly after the station was closed down.'

And Chris Tigwell later pointed out that electrification on Liverpool - Crewe rail line was only completed 1st January 1961 and the electrification masts are shown on photo.
