Eric Mallinson was Chargehand Bricklayer who recovered this from rubble of the old Paradise Street "Running Station".
I was there as it was ceremoniously cemented in place.
Eric retired in January 1980 after 25 years with the industry.
Further information (Apr 2014) from Ted Bostock who says Bill Daniels, Construction Engineer, spotted the Gargoyle that Eric recovered and cleaned up.
